PCOS
PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, an endocrine disorder caused by a complex hormonal disorder. It manifests itself through a group of signs and symptoms such as cystic ovaries, infertility, insulin issues, excess male hormones, and chronic pelvic pain. This results in excess amount of facial and body hair, acne, High blood pressure, weight problems, menstruation problems, and many long-term health risks ranging from high cholesterol to Type 2 Diabetes.
No cure has been found for PCOS. PCOS is a silent epidemic among women in today's society, yet not many doctors or people know much about PCOS. PCOS affects an estimated 5-10% of un
